As the casino's name suggests, this venue is a throwback to vintage Americana. There's not quite as much Elvis as you might expect, but stepping inside the casino really does feel like you're taking a trip back in time to glitzy American casinos of the 1950s.

The venue holds over 300 slot machines and almost 20 tables, which will be welcome news to fans of table and card games. Of course, several hundred slots titles to choose from means that those who like to spin the reels won't be disappointed, but this still feels very much like a casino that's built for table players.

Graceland Casino has facilities for both smokers and non-smokers, plus a private lounge with 38 slots and 4 gaming tables for high rollers who want a more secluded experience. And with slot denominations running from 1c to R50, there really is something for everyone here whatever their bankroll might be.

Poker fans will be thrilled to learn that the main casino boasts 3 Arizona Poker tables and 4 Texas Hold 'Em tables. Add 7 American Roulette tables (we can only wish for European and French tables to become more common in SA!) and 4 Blackjack tables into the mix, and you'll see that there are plenty of ways for players to let their hair down and place some wagers.

Hotel Accommodation

Graceland's on-site hotel, the 4 star Peermont Walmont, has almost 100 rooms (including deluxe offerings, junior suites and a presidential suite) and features a Victorian-American theme that's sure to bring a little of the tasteful elegance associated with the Kennedys to your trip.

The hotel is set in stunning grounds, far from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg, and makes for a fantastic stroll. But, since air con, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi come as standard (as does entry to the gym and swimming pool), you don't even need to leave your room if you want to take a break from gambling in the casino.

Entertainment & Nightlife

Graceland has such a laidback vibe that you could be forgiven for thinking that it wouldn't have much to offer in the way of nightlife, but you'd be totally wrong. If you want a midnight snack you can always head to Madison's Bistro, which is open late and overlooks the casino floor.

But if you're really in a party mood, head to Buffalo Bills to enjoy live entertainment or some televised sports on the big screen. No need to rush your drinks here, as they're open until 2am. Turn the music up and put on your dancing shoes...Or, if you want something a bit more structured, you could check out one of the comedy shows or tribute acts that regularly appear at Graceland.

The Secunda Mall is just a short drive away and, while it closes at 6pm most days, it has plenty of stores to visit where you can spend some of your winnings!

Other Facilities

As we've already mentioned in passing above, Graceland Casino also offers a stunning golf course that was designed by Gary Player. Whether you win or lose in the casino, 18 holes of flat savannahs and fabulous views are sure to improve your mood!
